Common boiler problems and emergency fixes
There are a few common boiler breakdown issues which will require an emergency boiler repair:
- You can smell gas. Gas leaking from your boiler is an emergency, and should be treated as such.
If you can smell gas you should open windows, evacuate your home and contact the National Gas Emergency Service Number on 0800 111 999. This service is free and they will attend within 2 hours.
You may require an attendance by one of our Gas Safe engineers if a gas leak is found to be in your property. Our Gas Safe engineers can attend and repair the leak and get you back up and running.
Some of the symptoms of Carbon Monoxide poisoning include headaches, dizziness, nausea, loss of consciousness and breathlessness. If anyone is displaying these symptoms, you should call 999.
- No heating or hot water. If you aren’t getting heating or hot water, it should be considered an emergency. Some common issues which cause this include:
