A boiler becomes ‘commercial’ depending on its size and where it is installed. They often have a higher output, so will differ from a residential boiler installation. Boilers usually classed as commercial are:
- Rated above 70kw;
- Fitted with gas pipework with a diameter of 35mm or above;
- Installed in commercial or non-domestic buildings such as shops, offices and schools.
It is also possible to install a domestic sized boiler in a building that we’d class as commercial, such as an office or accommodation above a public house or restaurant.
