We don’t charge a call out fee, however we do have a minimum ‘aim to fix’ charge. When we attend your call, we’ll ‘aim to fix’ your issue within the hour for a set fee plus materials.

We charge the ‘aim to fix’ as a one-hour minimum charge and then in 30-minute increments going forward. All of our costs include VAT unless stated (e.g for a business). Then, if our plumber or engineer attends to your problem and after the assessment believes it will cost more than our standard charge he will ‘down tools’ and call the office.

We would prefer to give you a fixed quotation and will endeavour to do this. However, in some emergency plumbing and heating situations, this isn’t always possible. This will be explained when liaising with our friendly office team.

It’s a common question, because technically plumbers do not fix boilers so if you had a problem with your heating system you would likely call a heating engineer not a plumber. The big difference between a plumber and a heating engineer is that a plumber is not usually gas safe registered. Plumbers tend to work with the water distribution of the pipes involved in any water or heating systems, whereas a heating engineer will focus on the gas aspect, including boiler servicing, boiler installation and boiler breakdown services.
