Get in touch Request A CallDo I have to have my boiler serviced annually?
Let’s face it no one wants to pay to have their boiler repaired as we all know it can be costly. The best way to avoid breakdown costs is to have your boiler serviced annually.
If your boiler is under a manufacturer’s warranty, an annual service is a requirement for keeping that warranty valid and because your boiler is a gas appliance an annual service also checks that the boiler is working at peak performance and is safe for your family.
All our engineers are Gas Safe qualified and can work on both Natural Gas and LPG boilers. Our servicing is carried out during convenient time slots throughout the day and can take between 45 minutes to an hour.
When booking a boiler service with Lacey’s, you will be asked if there are any current faults on your boiler and whether it is a service that you require. A boiler service does not repair boiler faults and is not a landlord gas safety check.
We also offer a convenient pay monthly service plan which you can read more about in the service plan section.

How much does a boiler service cost?
At Lacey Plumbing & Heating we know that price is a big factor in choosing our services. There are multiple reasons why the cost of a boiler service may change and the main one is having to order parts to repair the boiler. Parts don’t come cheap and we would have to order these in which will add up the total cost of the service. Not only that but also the time that engineers will spend at your residence may increase your costs.
To prevent situations like this we offer a pay monthly service plan that you can use in order to save precious time and money!
Another factor that may worry you about the costs is if a new boiler needs to be fitted. We offer you a free boiler quote on our website which allows you to understand how much your fully fitted boiler will cost and in exchange gives us important information about the job as well!
How long does a boiler service take?
Our boiler servicing is carried out at your convenience! Time slots will be made available before the planned appointment and this service can typically take between 45 minutes to an hour. In the potential scenario that a boiler may need to be repaired, this process will most likely be expanded over a couple of days in order for the required parts to be shipped in for your boiler to be fixed.

There are a few reasons why you should have your boiler serviced annually. These are to ensure it is running efficiently, to make sure it is gas safe and to pick up any faults that might be occurring with the boiler before it breaks down. The boiler pressure on a combination boiler should be at 1.5 bar. When the pressure drops below this or to zero your boiler will stop working. You should always check this first before calling us. If it is at zero please try and top up the pressure and press the reset button. If you are unsure of how to do this please give us a call or read our guide to understanding boiler pressure here.
The time it takes to repair a boiler generally depends on whether the required part is a stock item or not. Our engineers will send the part details to our office and we will contact merchants to check stock. If the part is in stock we will repair your boiler in the same day. We will always keep you informed of the timescales involved in a repair.
